Found room in my life to adopt a shelter kitten.

πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ Yes! At our peak, we had two adopted cats and two adopted dogs. We’re down to two dogs now, but Ruby is making a concentrated campaign to keep adopting more and more animals.

Moved past the trap of doubt and started another painting for a loved one. I’ve realized that each time I choose to create I’m learning to navigate the trap of doubt with more ease and allowing my basic goodness to shine consistently and brightly πŸ’–

Love that one Tania. I think that with any act of creation like the one you mentioned there is going to be some form of doubting oneself but to work to overcome that and create fully formed art? Huge.

Thanks for the article, Lodro. I’ve stuck by my two adopted children even though one is in prison and the other struggles daily with the responsibilities of adulthood. I’ve also adopted two dogs and seven cats! I love them all!

Seven cats whoa! I realize there are many "whoa" moments in your statement though. It is really hard to navigate difficulties with a child and there is really no applause forthcoming from them (or society) for doing what needs to be done. Well, I'm here applauding you. That's incredible. Thanks for sharing.

Well, I adopted the kids at the same time but the pets came one at a time over two decades! Thanks again!

I have a deep love for animals and for the earth that flows into my daily actions.

Thank you, this was just what I needed to read at this time. Funny how that happens. I just took my family including my hubby, 2 adult sons, their wives and kids, (a 6, 4, and 2yr old) on a vacation near Yosemite. I caught myself focusing (i.e. worrying) too much on making sure everyone was having fun (my nature). We all had a great time and I realized I didn't need any "applause". I thoroughly enjoy your weekly writings.

Great example of not needing any applause - your altruistic joy shone through!

Ahh the challenge of keeping ego/self not as a center.

I’ve made a stronger commitment to live with loving kindness

Toward my self and all beings. As I lie in bed at night i reflect; each of our interactions by their nature touch/change each prayer. Forgiving myself for my imperfections helps me feel empathy and caring for others also imperfect and may be struggling as I am at times My β€œof note” is the β€œmusic”my life has lived
