Yes indeed, this is just what I needed to read, and will need to read again and again. I read a phrase the other day "We need to address our addiction to crisis." I find myself so often going down this hole.
The duality of our world....spot on as to how we must balance the world around us (national divisive politics) and never ending wars) and the joy of the moment. Maintaining a mindful presence is such an ongoing challenge for me. Thank you as always.
The curse and gift of loving. How much sadder to go through life without capacity or responsibility for community. The toggle between empathy and sanity - it’s like strength training. It’s hard, it is a choice to do it or not, it hurts for a bit, but there are gains and benefits.. Maybe the better we get at “going there” - feeling the pain and wrongs our fellows are suffering - suffering with them a little and then returning to safety . .. strengthens the heart of a servant - matures our insight - in turn making us better equipped to respond and avail - I don’t know.. I think that you are onto something .. we are all just one of many.. if more ones are learned and willing.. maybe theres unknown ripple effect.. if I become student of meditation will it help me talk less?
